Scientific managemen theory developed by Fedrick winslow taylors,principle of scientific management use the scientific methods to define the one best way for a job to be done.
Taylor did most of his work at the medvale and Bethelehem steel companies in pennsylvania as a mechanical engenier with a quaker and puritan background.
Taylors' Four principles of scientific management(Robbins et al 2007)
1.Develop a science for each element of individuals work which will replace the old rule of thumb method.
2.Scientifically select and then train ,teach and train the workers.
3.Heartily cooperate with thd workers so as to ensure that all work is done in accordance with the principles of the science that has been developed.
Many managers analyse the basic work tasks that must performed,use the time and motion study to eliminate waste motions,Hire the best qualifiea workers for a job and design incentive systems based on output,they're using principles of scientific management.But current management practice isn't restricted to scientific management.(Robbins et al 2007)
